These cookie guidelines supplement our privacy policy, which contains our contact details and an overview of your rights.
1. Cookies
A cookie is a small file containing information that is sent by a web server to a web browser to enable the server to collect information from the browser. We use cookies on our website on the basis of our legitimate interests. Using the data contained in these files, our website can capture important information to make your interaction on the site more useful and efficient for you. Cookies also allow us to analyse how you use our websites.
We use the term ‘cookies’ for all technology that collects information from your device about the use of our applications and websites, the identification of a device, IP address and browser type, demographic data or the URL of the website visited.
The legal basis on which we process your personal data using cookies depends on whether we ask for your consent. If we ask for your consent and you give us permission to use cookies, the legal basis for processing your data is your consent. If we don’t get your consent, we process your personal data using cookies on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. for analysis and optimisation of our services), or to fulfil our contractual duties if the use of cookies is necessary.
This website uses tracking, which includes cookies, to analyse and optimise digital offers and campaigns. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time.
You can revoke the consent you issued or opt out of processing of your data using cookies at any time. You can declare your objection using your browser settings, e.g. by deactivating the use of cookies. You will find the relevant information in the Help menu of your browser. Alternatively, you can visit the website http://www.aboutcookies.org. There you will find step-by-step instructions on how to control and delete cookies in most browsers.
We divide cookies into the following categories:
“Strictly necessary cookies” make it possible to navigate websites, provide services or remember settings to improve the quality of your visit. Without these cookies, the website would not work. These cookies do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing purposes or to recognise webpages that you visit.
We use them for the following purposes, for example:
- to remember the data that you entered on order forms if you navigate to various pages in the course of a single browser session;
- to identify your login on a WANDER page;
- to remember the goods and services ordered by you when you reach the checkout page;
- to remember settings chosen by you, e.g. layout, language, preferences;
- to determine whether we have already asked if you would like to fill out a questionnaire;
- to show you as being logged on to our site;
- to share information with partners, so that they can provide a service on our site. The information shared can only be used to provide the service, the product or the function and not for any other purpose.
“Tracking cookies” collect information about how you use our websites. All data collected is anonymous. We use them to:
- compile statistics about how our websites are used;
- determine how effective our ads are (we do not use the data for targeted advertising when visiting other websites);
- identify any errors that occur and thereby improve the website;
- test various web page designs.
“Marketing cookies” are linked to the services provided by third parties, e.g. the functions “Like” and “Share”. Third parties provide this service in return for your visit to our website. We use them to:
- link to social networks such as Facebook, which in turn can use the information about your visit to enable it to carry out targeted promotional campaigns for you on other websites;
- provide advertising agencies with information about your visit in order to be able to display ads that may be of interest to you.

2. Information on cookies from third parties
In the following we will inform you about services used on our website that are connected with the use of cookies. We will also show you how to stop these services from evaluating your user behaviour on our websites. If we ask for your consent on behalf of a third-party service, the legal basis for this form of data processing is your consent. If we do not obtain your consent, your personal data will be processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. optimisation, marketing purposes and website design based on user interests).
Google services
We use several services on our website from Google LLC (‘Google’, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA or Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland) on our website:
- Google Analytics
- Google Analytics Remarketing
- Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Marketing Platform DoubleClick (DV360)
Google uses technologies such as cookies, web browser storage and tracking pixels that allow us to analyse how you use our website. The information collected on how you use our website can also be transferred to a Google server in the USA or other countries and stored there. You can find more information on the locations of Google’s data centres here.
We use tools provided by Google that, according to Google, may process personal data in countries where Google or its subcontractors maintain facilities. Google promises, among other things, in its Data Processing Addendum for Products where Google is a Data Processor to ensure an adequate level of data protection by referring to the Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses (see point 6 of the Privacy Policy).
You can find more information in the Google privacy notice at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You can find more information on Google’s privacy settings at https://safety.google/privacy/privacy-controls/.
Google Analytics
To analyse our website and its users and for marketing and advertising purposes, we use the web analytics service Google Analytics 4.
Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your end-user device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and enable the analysis of your use of our website. This enables us to evaluate usage behaviour on our website and to make our offering more interesting by making use of the statistics/reports obtained.
We use the user ID function. User ID allows us to assign a unique, continuous ID to one or more sessions (and the activities within those sessions) and to analyse user behaviour across devices.
We use Google Signals. This allows Google Analytics to capture additional information about users who have enabled personalised ads (interests and demographics) and ads can be displayed to these users in cross-device remarketing campaigns.
With Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are anonymised by default. This means that your IP address is truncated by Google within Switzerland or the EU/EEA before it is transmitted. Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address transmitted to a Google server and truncated there.
Google uses this information to create user pseudonyms to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services associated with website activity and internet use. Google states that the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google. When you visit our website, your user behaviour is recorded in the form of events (such as page views, interaction with the website or your ‘click path’) as well as other data such as your approximate location (country and city), technical information about your browser and the end-user devices you use or the referrer URL (the website/advertising material that led you to our website).
You can prevent the collection and transmission of data created by the cookie and related to your use of our website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you wish to object to Google’s interest-based advertising, you can use the control and opt-out options provided by Google.
An overview of the data use as part of Google Analytics and the measures taken by Google to protect your data can be found on the Google Analytics Help page.
For further information on Google Analytics’ Terms of Use and on data protection at Google, please see the respective policies.
Google Analytics Remarketing
We also use Google Analytics Remarketing functions. This makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing with the multi-device functions of Google Ads. In this way, interest-related, personalised advertising tailored to you based on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on an end-user device (e.g. mobile phone) can be displayed on one of your other end-user devices (e.g. tablet or PC). If you consent, Google links your web and app browsing history with your Google account for that purpose. This allows personalised advertising messages to be published on every end-user device on which you log in with your Google account. To support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of the users who are temporarily linked with our Google Analytics data to define and create target groups for multi-device advertising.
You can opt out of multi-device remarketing/targeting permanently by deactivating personalised advertising in your Google account.
d) Google Ads and Google conversion tracking (previously Google Adwords)
Google Ads places a cookie on your computer (‘conversion cookie’) if you visit our website via a Google ad. These cookies deactivate after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and therefore are not used to identify you personally. If you visit particular websites of ours while the cookie is still active, we and Google can detect that you clicked on the ad and were directed to our website. Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. It is therefore impossible to track cookies on Ads customers’ websites. The information gathered with the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. These statistics identify the total number of users who click on our ads and which of our websites are accessed by each user afterwards. We do not receive any information that would enable us to identify you personally.
Based on the information gathered, your browser is allocated interest-related categories. These categories are used to publish interest-based advertising.
The data obtained about you with the cookie mentioned above (‘conversion tracking’) is used for the following purposes:
- Remarketing
- Target groups with common interests
- User-defined target groups with common interests
- Target groups ready to buy
- Similar target groups
- Demographic and geographic alignment
- Dynamic remarketing
- User lists
Using Google Ads, we reach users who have already visited our website. This means we can present our advertisements to target groups that are already interested in our products and services.
You can prevent cookie storage in general by deactivating cookie storage in your browser. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising by Google Ads by choosing the relevant settings at www.google.de/settings/ads.
You can find more information on terms of service and data protection in relation to Google Ads at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google Tag Manager
We also use Google Tag Manager to integrate and manage Google analytic and marketing services on our website. Google Tag Manager enables us to manage our website tags via an interface. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, is a cookie-free domain and does not record any personal data. However, the tool causes other tags to be triggered, which in turn capture data under certain circumstances. In contrast, Google Tag Manager itself does not access this data. If deactivation is carried out at a domain or cookie level, this remains effective for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. You can find more information in the usage guidelines for this service:
https://marketingplatform.google.com/intl/de/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.
You can find more information on data usage for marketing purposes by Google on the overview site: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads, Google’s data privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you would like to opt out of interest-based advertising by Google Marketing Services, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.
Google Marketing Platform
DoubleClick (DV360) DoubleClick (DV 360) by Google uses cookies to show you relevant advertisements. Using DoubleClick cookies allows Google and its partner websites to only show ads on the basis of previous visits to our or other websites on the internet, to show users relevant ads, to improve reports on campaign performance or to avoid showing the same ad to a user twice.
When DoubleClick (DV 360) is in use, your browser creates a direct connection with the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of data collected by this Google service and inform you according to our knowledge: By integrating DoubleClick (DV 360), Google is informed that you visited the relevant part of our website or that you clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered for Google services, Google can allocate this visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, the provider could reveal and store your IP address.
Additionally, DoubleClick Floodlight cookies let us know if you carry out particular actions on our website after you launch a display or video ad on Google or another platform via DoubleClick (DV 360) or if you have clicked on it (conversion tracking). DoubleClick (DV 360) uses this cookie to understand the content with which you have interacted on our website so that it can send you targeted advertising later.
You can prevent the storage of cookies through the relevant settings in your browser software.
You can also prevent Google from capturing or processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated under the menu item Extension for DoubleClick deactivation.
You can also opt out of DoubleClick cookies for many other providers, for example the Digital Advertising Alliance, here.
You can find more information on Google Marketing Platform DoubleClick (DV 360) at https://marketingplatform.google.com/.
Fusedeck
We make use of the fusedeck tracking solution from Capture Media AG (hereinafter ‘Capture Media’) on our website. Capture Media is a Swiss company headquartered in Zurich which measures usage of this website on our behalf and serves, in particular, to optimise our media content. Tracking is anonymous, meaning that no link can be drawn to identified or identifiable persons. The fusedeck cookieless mode also does not use any cookies or other identifiers saved on the user’s computer. You can find further information about data protection and the rights of the data subject in connection with fusedeck, including the option to object (opt-out), in the privacy policy and in the information on the right to object at https://privacy.fusedeck.net/de/AzZBgfnJZf
Meta Pixel, Meta Custom Audiences and Meta Conversion
We have embedded the Meta Pixel, a code snippet of Meta Platforms Inc., based in the USA, or, if your usual residence is in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, based in Ireland, (‘Meta’) on our website.
With the Meta Pixel, Meta can identify the visitors to our website as the target group for advertisements (‘Facebook ads’ or ‘Instagram ads’). We use the Meta Pixel accordingly to display Facebook and Instagram ads published by us only to those Facebook/Instagram users who have also shown an interest in our online services or who display certain characteristics (e.g. interest in particular topics or products that are determined based on the websites visited) that we send to Meta (‘Custom Audiences’). We use the Meta Pixel to ensure that our Facebook and Instagram ads match users’ potential interests and are not annoying.
The Meta Pixel also enables us to track the effectiveness of Facebook and Instagram ads for statistical and market research purposes by identifying whether users were sent to our website after clicking on a Facebook or Instagram ad (‘conversions’).
Through the use of cookies, Meta can subsequently recognise you in the member area of Facebook or Instagram and optimise the efficiency of advertisements, e.g. by offering advertisements targeted to specific groups. You must be logged into the member area of Facebook or Instagram to benefit from this function. If you are not a member of Facebook or Instagram, this data processing does not apply to you.
For data transfer to countries outside the EEA, Meta relies on the Data Privacy Framework, the EU standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions of the EU and the FDPIC (see point 6 of the Privacy Policy).
General information on the use of data by Meta, your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy can be found in Meta’s Privacy Policy, which is available on the Facebook and Instagram websites. More specific information and details about the Meta Pixel and how it works can be found in the Meta help section. If you generally wish to object to the collection and use of your data by the Meta Pixel for the display of Facebook or Instagram ads, you can do so in the advertising settings of Facebook or the privacy settings of Instagram. You must be logged in to Facebook or Instagram to do this.
If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can opt out of cookie usage for reach measurement and advertising purposes using the opt-out site of the Network Advertising Initiative http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and also the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the European website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
TikTok Pixel
We have also embedded the TikTok Pixel of the Chinese company ByteDance on our website. The responsible entity is TikTok Pte Ltd, which is based in Singapore. If your usual residence is in the USA, the responsible entity is TikTok Inc, which is based in the USA, or if your usual residence is in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the responsible entities are TikTok Technology Ltd, which is based in Ireland, and TikTok Information Technologies UK Ltd (‘TikTok’).
With the TikTok Pixel, TikTok can identify the visitors to our online offerings as the target group for advertisements (‘TikTok ads’). We use the TikTok Pixel accordingly to display TikTok ads published by us only to those TikTok users who have also shown an interest in our online services or who display certain characteristics (e.g. interest in particular topics or products that are determined based on the websites visited). In addition to this information, other data such as your IP address or details of the end-user device you are using is also transmitted to TikTok. We also use the TikTok pixel to ensure that our TikTok ads match users’ potential interests and are not annoying. From the moment of transmission, TikTok processes this data under its own responsibility. Accordingly, we have no control over the further processing carried out by TikTok. TikTok states that when data is transferred to countries outside the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, it is ensured through adequacy decisions and EU standard contractual clauses that an adequate level of data protection exists in these countries.
Through the use of cookies, TikTok can subsequently recognise you in the member area of TikTok and optimise the efficiency of advertisements, e.g. by offering advertisements targeted to specific groups. You must have a TikTok account and be logged in to the member area of TikTok to benefit from this function. If you are not a member of TikTok, this data processing does not apply to you.
General information on the use of data by TikTok, your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy can be found in TikTok’s Privacy Policy. More specific information and details about the TikTok Pixel and how it works can be found in the TikTok help section. If you generally wish to object to the collection and use of your data by the TikTok Pixel for the display of TikTok Ads, you can do so within your TikTok account. Information on how to do this can be found in the TikTok help section under ‘Change your personalized ads settings’.
Instagram Ads
Our website uses Instagram ads, which enable targeted advertisement of our online services on Instagram. Instagram is a service provided by Meta Platforms Inc., based in the USA, or, if your usual residence is in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, based in Ireland, (‘Meta’).
We use retargeting for Instagram ads, which allows us to analyse the activities of our website visitors on or outside of Instagram and Facebook, and to analyse location and other demographic data such as age, gender, language and interests, e.g. apps they use, advertisements they have clicked on or accounts to which they are subscribed, and to find new people similar to our existing clients, to show them targeted advertising.
You can opt out of the recording of your data by Instagram and the use of your data to show Instagram ads. Instagram is a Facebook Inc. company, and you can therefore visit the pages set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
You can also opt out of cookie usage for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the opt-out site of the Network Advertising Initiative http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and via the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the European website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
You can find more information on data processing by Facebook via Instagram at https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875.
For data transfer to countries outside the EEA, Meta relies on the Data Privacy Framework, the EU standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions of the EU and the FDPIC (see point 6 of the Privacy Policy).
Conversion tracking with Pinterest tag
We also use the ‘Pinterest Tag’ by Pinterest Inc., 651 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA or Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland.
Using Pinterest tags firstly allows Pinterest to define visitors to our online services as a target group for displaying ads (‘Pinterest ads’). We use the Pinterest tag to show Pinterest ads published by us only to those Pinterest users who have also shown an interest in our online services or who display certain characteristics (e.g. interest in particular topics or products that are determined based on the websites visited) that we send to Pinterest (‘ActALike Audiences’). We wish to ensure, with the help of Pinterest tags, that our Pinterest ads match users’ potential interests and are not annoying. We can also deduce the effectiveness of Pinterest ads for statistical and market research purposes by using Pinterest tags to see whether users were sent to our website after clicking on a Pinterest ad (‘conversion’).
The Pinterest tag will connect to Pinterest directly when you launch our website and may store a cookie (a small file) on your device. If you log in to Pinterest after this or visit Pinterest while logged in, the visit to our online services will be noted in your profile. The data collected on you is anonymous for us and cannot be used to identify a user.
Data processing by Pinterest takes place within the framework of Pinterest’s privacy policy. You can find general information on Pinterest ad placement in the Pinterest privacy policy: https://policy.pinterest.com/en/privacy-policy.
You can opt out of the recording of your data by the Pinterest tag and the use of your data to show Pinterest ads. For this purpose, you can load the page set up by Pinterest and follow the instructions for usage-based advertising settings: https://www.pinterest.com/settings/. You must also be logged in to Pinterest. The settings are independent of the platform; in other words, they are implemented for all devices including desktop computers and mobile devices.
If you do not have a Pinterest account, you can also opt out of cookie usage for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the opt-out site of the Network Advertising Initiative http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the European website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
In order to ensure adequate protection of your data, Pinterest relies on adequacy decisions, EU standard contractual clauses and exceptions for data transfers abroad (see point 6 of the Privacy Policy).
Hotjar
We also use Hotjar, a web analysis service by Hotjar Ltd. Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta.
Using Hotjar technology, we improve our understanding of user experience (e.g. how much time users spend on our website, which links they click, what they like and what they don’t) and this helps us to better understand our users and to optimise the services on our websites. Hotjar works with cookies and other technologies to collect information on user behaviour and devices (in particular, device IP addresses are only recorded and stored in anonymous form), screen width, type of device (unique device identifiers), information on the browsers they use, location (country only) and the language in which they display our website. You can find more information in the Hotjar privacy policy at https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy/.
You may opt out of Hotjar data processing at any time. Hotjar lets users prevent it from working with a ‘Do Not Track’ header, so that no data on the visit to the respective website is recorded. You can find the opt-out option at https://www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out.
MyFonts Counter
MyFonts Counter is a web analysis service by MyFonts Inc., 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA. Under the licence terms, this carries out page view tracking which counts the number of visits to our websites for statistical purposes and send this to MyFonts. MyFonts only receives anonymised data.
Where applicable, the data is transmitted by activating a JavaScript code in your browser. To completely prevent the execution of JavaScript code by MyFonts, you can install a JavaScript blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net).
You can find more information about MyFonts Counter in the MyFonts privacy policy at https://www.monotype.com/legal/terms-conditions-business#Privacy
Facebook Connect
If you have a Facebook profile, you can log in to register using the social plug-in ‘Facebook Connect’ of the social network Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Ireland), within the framework of the single sign-on technology. You can identify the social plug-ins of ‘Facebook Connect’ by the button bearing the Facebook logo and the text ‘Connect with Facebook’, ‘Log in with Facebook’ or ‘Sign in with Facebook’. EU standard contractual clauses have been concluded as suitable guarantees (see point 6 of the Privacy Policy). When you visit one of our websites that contains one of these plug-ins, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in will be transferred from Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. As a result of this integration, Facebook is notified that your browser has accessed the corresponding web page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
When you use the ‘Facebook Connect’ button, we only receive the general and publicly accessible information stored in your Facebook profile, depending on your personal privacy settings on Facebook, if you give your express consent before registering on the basis of a corresponding notice about the exchange of data with Facebook. This information includes your user ID, name, profile picture, age and gender.
Please note that following changes to Facebook’s privacy policy and terms of use, consent may also result in the transfer of your profile pictures, friends’ user IDs and friends list if these have been marked as ‘public’ in your privacy settings on Facebook. The data transmitted by Facebook will be stored and processed by us for the use of the comment function with the necessary data if this data has been released by you on Facebook for this purpose (title, first name, last name, address data, country, email address, date of birth). Conversely, data (e.g. information on your browsing or purchasing behaviour) may be transferred from us to your Facebook profile on the basis of your consent. Any consent given can be revoked at any time with future effect.
If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
For information on the purpose and scope of the data collection and further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
3. Social media plugins
We use social media plugins from social networks on our websites. The integration of plugins and the data processing associated with this serves to optimise our product advertising.
When you visit our websites and a plugin running on the websites is activated, a direct connection is established between your browser and the server of the social network concerned. The content of the plugin will be transferred from the social network directly to the browser and integrated in the websites. The network is therefore informed that you have visited our websites. If you are logged in to the social network, this visit can be allocated to your account. If you wish to interact with the plugins, the relevant information will be transmitted directly to the social network from your browser and stored there.
Even if you are not logged in to the social network during your visit to our websites, data could be sent to the networks from websites with active plugins. The plugin places a cookie with an identifier every time you access the websites. Since your browser includes this cookie automatically every time it connects to a server of the networks concerned, the social networks could in theory create a profile listing the websites accessed by the user associated with the identifier. Under some circumstances, it would then also be possible to attribute this identifier back to a person later – such as when logging in to the social network again in the future.
You can select ‘Block cookies from third parties’ in your browser settings, which will prevent the browser from sending cookies to the server of the social network concerned. However, this may hinder not only the plugins but also the cross-site functionality of other providers under certain circumstances.
The following social networks are integrated in our website using plugins. More information on the scope, type and purpose of data processing, your rights and related options for protecting your privacy and your right to opt out of creating user profiles can be found in the linked privacy notifications of each respective provider.

4. Pixels, local storage and similar technologies
We also use other technologies on the basis of our legitimate interests, such as tracking pixels and local storage. We use these technologies for purposes such as checking which functions are particularly popular, creating a more personal user experience and publishing advertising that is relevant to users.
Tracking pixels (which are also referred to as clear GIFs, web beacons or pixel tags) are small units of code that are installed on a website, mobile app or ad. These tracking pixels can retrieve certain information via your browser and your device, such as the operating system, browser type, device type and version, referring website, website visited, IP address and other similar information.
Pixels in the newsletter
Our newsletters may contain a ‘web beacon’, a pixel-sized file that launches when you open the newsletter from our server or that of an email marketing service provider, should we use one. During this launch, technical information will firstly be recorded, such as information on your browser and system, as well as your ID address and the time of launch.
This information will be used to improve our newsletter technically using technical data or data on target groups and their reading habits based on the launch location (which can be determine using the IP address) or their access times. The analysis also determines whether the newsletter was opened, when it was opened and which links were clicked. This information can only be allocated to individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons. However, it is neither our intention nor that of the email marketing service, if used, to observe individual users. The analysis also help us recognise our users’ reading habits and to adjust our content or send different content according to our users’ interests.
The analysis of the newsletter and the evaluation of its performance are carried out – subject to the user’s express consent – based on our legitimate interests for the purpose of operating a user-friendly and secure newsletter system which serves both our business interests and our customers’ expectations.
Opting out of the performance evaluation separately is unfortunately not possible; in this case, the entire newsletter subscription must be cancelled or an objection raised.
